Stanislav Steshenko – Classical Guitarist

Stanislav Steshenko began his musical path at the age of five with vocal and piano studies. At nine he discovered the guitar, which soon became his main artistic focus. He received his early training in Myrhorod, later continuing at the Kyiv Music College named after Glier and at the Kyiv University of Culture and Arts. He deepened his formation at the Kharkiv National University of Arts named after Kotlyarevsky in the guitar and conducting class.
Seeking further artistic refinement, Stanislav moved to Germany, studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Prof. Franz Halász, and subsequently at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt with Prof. Tilman Hoppstock as a scholar of the DAAD Foundation.
He has performed widely worldwide, appearing in Ukraine, Poland, russia, Germany, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Japan, Norway, Luxembourg, Spain, Chile, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Mexico, and Slovenia. His concerts include appearances in philharmonic halls, conservatories, festivals, and various international cultural venues. He has also given masterclasses at several guitar festivals and educational institutions.
Stanislav is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, among them 1st prize at the GuitAs Guitar Competition (Ukraine), 1st prize at the CIGAJ–Alhambra Competition (Spain) ,1st prize at the Stankovych Competition, 2nd prize at the Stuttgart International Competition (Germany), 1st prize at the Veria Guitar Competition (Greece), 2nd prize at the Lauro Competition (Germany), 2nd prize at the Belgorod Competition (Russia), 1st prize at the A.Piñero International Guitar Competition (Spain), 3rd prize at the Sinaia Competition (Romania), 1st place at the Duo Competition Zagreb(Croatia), 3rd prize at the Condado Competition (Spain), 2nd prize at the Gorizia Altamira Competition (Italy), 2nd prize at the Ida Presti Guitar Competition (Croatia), 2nd prize at the Hannabach Competition (Germany), 1st prize at the Aalborg Guitar Competition (Denmark), 2nd prize at the Brussels International Guitar Competition (Belgium), 1st prize at the Velespana Competition (Slovenia), 3rd prize at the Luxembourg Guitar Competition, and 3rd prize at the Ligita Competition (Liechtenstein), along with other distinctions earned throughout Europe and beyond.
At present, Stanislav Steshenko teaches at the Regensburg University of Musik and actively collaborates with various musicians in the field of chamber music.
